Reef Snorkeling

You can choose to visit Thoddoo Reef or the more distant Veligandu Reef.
Coral reefs form complex ecosystems with enormous biodiversity. Among the myriad inhabitants, fish are colorful and exciting to watch. Hundreds of species can exist on a small area of healthy reef, many of which are hidden or well camouflaged. Reef fish have developed many sophisticated specializations adapted to survive on reefs. This trip is also suitable for beginners in snorkeling.

Dolphin Watching Trip
Dolphins are well known for their agility and playful behaviour.
Many species will leap out of the water, spy/hop and follow ships, often synchronizing their movements with one another. Scientists believe that dolphins conserve energy by swimming alongside ships, a practice known as bow-riding. Dolphins live in social groups of five to several hundred. They use echolocation to find prey and often hunt together by surrounding a school of fish, trapping them and taking turns swimming through the school and catching fish.

Snorkeling with Mantas
Snorkeling with manta rays is an unforgettable experience. We know different areas where you have an excellent opportunity to spot these magnificent and friendly animals. Some places are near Thoddoo Island, and others near Genburu Point. Manta Ray’s primary food is plankton, consisting of various tiny organisms in the water. Manta belongs to the family of sharks. The Manta Ray is a creature that lives its life alone. The males and females may overlap territory in their search for food. The largest Manta can reach 7 m in width.

Excursion to a Picnic Island (Sandbank)
It is a boat trip to the picnic island near Rasdhoo.
Enjoy the silence of a lonely sandbank, relax and feel free. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and feeding of fish in lagoons.

BIG GAME HUNTING
Fishing from a moving boat (rod and reel, jigging, casting) takes place in the morning and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
SUNSET FISHING
Fishing from standing boat takes place in the evening after sunset and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
OCTOPUS HUNTING
Enjoy the hunting adventure with an experienced guide. The best time to hunt octopuses is during low tide in the evening. This trip lasts approximately 1 hour.

Whale Shark Trip
The whale shark is a slow-moving, filter-feeding shark and belongs the largest known extant fish species.
There are no whale sharks around Thoddoo Island, so we need to go to the islands where they are more common. The boat trip takes about 9 hours.
You can’t control nature, and we may not always be successful in finding whale sharks. But when you do, meeting these majestic creatures is a great experience.

Full-day combined trip lasts approximately 6 hours.
You can enjoy snorkeling with mantas ray, with nurse sharks and snorkeling on Velidhoo reef where you can see a beautiful coral garden. A special activity “boat rack” is also a part of the trip.
Alternatively is possible to exchange some of these activities for a visit to the one near local island. The price includes refreshments (drinks and fruits, sandwiches), photos and video from underwater camera GoPro 11.
